John Blackburn (son of William Blackburn and Jenny Maynard, born 1812-1816 in Virginia) had at least 25 children and several wives. The known wives are LYDIA BLANKENSHIP, dau. of William Blankenship and Celia Bishop, married to John in Pike Co., on October 11, 1834), Elizabeth Whitt (married John in Pike Co., KY on Sept. 15, 1867), Martha Blankenship, and Betty Gooslin. Does anyone have information on these ladies, or other wives of John Blackburn? And which wife bore which child ?! The children, probably all born in Pike Co., KY, were: Nancy (1836-1913), Jenny (b. 1837), Henry (1838-c.1890), Gilbert (Jan. 23, 1841-July 24, 1925), Rebecca (1845), Andrew "AJ" 1846), Lydia (1847), William (October 1847), Vicey (1853), Louisa (1854), Sarah (Feb. 27, 1854), Margaret Jane "Betty Jane" (June 13, 1856), Polly (December 10, 1856), Mitchell (April 7, 1858), Talitha (May 1860), Martha Jane (July 6, 1868), Katherine (July 1869), Jacob (April 21, 1871), Pricy (September 1, 1872), Ance (August 27, 1876), John Jr. (1878), Octavia (Jan. 14, 1883), Basil (Jan. 4, 1884), Jim (1886), Gran (1895)
